Jo Mersh – Retired GB Olympian
George Abbot School recently had the pleasure of welcoming Jo Mersh (Retired Team GB 800m Olympian) to deliver a whole school assembly.
Jo was an inspiration for the students, and the message she delivered was clear; have a dream and do not stop until you achieve that dream! Jo explained that there will be set backs, however, success is about how you react and learn from the set backs.
Following the assembly Year 9 and 10 GCSE PE students took part in circuit training with Jo. This was a fabulous experience for the students.
